Former site of Wesleyan College

Wesleyan College, founded in 1836, was originally housed in a fine Greek Revival building on this site. It was replaced by a larger Queen Anne style building that burned in the 1960s. During that fire, several buildings on the opposite side of the street also burned.  The present structure was built in the style of the original college building.
